More

Ego Actus and Scandinavian American Theatre Company presented an Equity Showcase Code production of More by Maria Tryti Vennerød, directed by Joan Kane.

The show opened November 13, 2013 at Theater for the New City as Norway Plays: Drama Beyond Ibsen.

Description

Two young women are playing and one of them gets killed. Could it have been a lesbian act of passion or an accident between friends? Detectives grill the survivor, accusing her of murder. Reporters circle the story looking for sensationalism. Are news media turning events into television dramas before the infamy of the story fades away? More is a play that explores society’s insatiable search for quick answers and someone to punish, often overshadowing truth.

Cast

The cast featured Christina Toth, Skyler Volpe, Alexandra Cohen Spiegler, Ioan Ardelean, Chevy Kaeo Martinez and Erik Schjerven.

Crew

The crew included producer Albert Bendix, production manager Drew O’Kane, set by Starlet Jacobs, costumes by Mira Veikley, lights by Bruce A! Kraemer, assistant lighting designer Michael Kalmanowitz, sound by Ian Wehrle, with graphics by Kwasi Osei and press rep Ron Lasko.
