Ego Actus and Lungtree Productions presented an Equity Showcase Code production of Time Stands Still by Donald Margulies, directed by Joan Kane.
The show opened March 8, 2018 at Theater for the New City.
Time Stands Still is set in Brooklyn and revolves around Sarah, a photo journalist who has returned from covering a war in Syria after being injured by a roadside bomb, and her reporter boyfriend James who is swamped by guilt after leaving Sarah alone there. They receive a visit from their friend Richard, a photo editor, who introduces them to his new girlfriend Mandy, who is much younger than he. The play focuses on their relationships and Sarah and James’ prospects at a more conventional life.
The cast featured Maggie Alexander, Timothy Weinert*, Connie Castanzo*, and Malcolm Stephenson*.
The crew included set by Mark Marcante, costumes by Cat Fisher, lights by Bruce A! Kraemer, sound by Ian Wehrle, projections by Kathryn Lieber, make-up by Virna Smiraldi, props by Max Kilsheimer, with photos of Syria by Simon S. Safieh and stage manager Dana Robbins, press rep Andrea Alton.
